De Slufter is a unique area that has an open connection with the North Sea. After a number of failed attempts to turn it into an agricultural polder, it was decided at the beginning of the 20th century to leave the inlet open. There are gaps in the dunes that are characterized by the special emerald green colors. What these holes are for is a big mystery to me. In any case, it is a beautiful view from above.
